Sunflower Log Cabin is an adorable and cozy cabin in Gilmanton in the Lakes Region of central New Hampshire.
Built in 1986 from trees existing on the land of the historic homestead of Grace Metalious, author of “Peyton Place”, it boasts solid native timber. The cabin is about 1,000 square feet in size, with a kitchen/dining area, a bathroom with a full-size rounded shower, and a living area on the first floor. The second floor is a loft divided into two bedrooms. The loft is reached by a central staircase. Notice the enclosed front porch, also.
Situated on 5 acres with easy access to snowmobile trails, Gunstock and other ski areas, Lake Winnipesaukee and attractions, and the NH Motor Speedway, it’s a great central location for your getaway. The spacious front and side lawns make it easy to see the local wildlife, i.e. turkey, deer, and more. The fenced backyard makes a safe run-and-play area for children and pets.
The cabin is currently rented and occupied.
